Settings
Settings in the app's navigation holds everything that applies to your whole store rather than to one layout, sender or workflow. It is split into five tabs. On a phone the tabs become a dropdown.
| Tab | What it holds |
|---|---|
| General | Facts about your store and links to the settings that live on other pages |
| Email defaults | CC, BCC, Reply-To, From name and test recipients for every email the app sends |
| Marketing emails | The unsubscribe sentence, link text and company details shown under every marketing email, per language |
| Brand and fonts | Custom heading and body fonts, and your named brand colors |
| Notifications | The alert emails the app sends you, and who receives them |
Changes on the Email defaults, Marketing emails and Brand and fonts tabs are saved together with the Save bar that appears at the top as soon as you change something; Discard puts everything back. The Notifications tab saves on its own Save alerts button, and recipient changes there apply immediately.
General
Nothing on this tab is editable; it shows what the app knows about your store and where the rest is managed.
Store lists your Store domain, your Plan, the Actions included per rolling 30 days, how long History is kept, the store Timezone the dashboard uses for its date ranges, and the Shop owner email. The plan is changed in Shopify billing and the timezone in your Shopify admin.
Other settings links to the pages that own a setting of their own: Plan and usage, Email senders, Header and footer, Developer and connections (API keys, MCP, your AI provider key, the GitHub connection) and Help and documentation.
Email defaults
These apply to every email the app sends from your Flow steps, transactional and marketing, and to test emails and resends from History. Each address field takes up to 5 addresses, separated by commas, semicolons or new lines; duplicates are dropped, and an address that is not valid is refused when you save. Leave a field empty and it does nothing. Stores that never touch this tab send exactly as before.
| Field | How it combines with the Flow step |
|---|---|
| Default CC | Added to every email, on top of the CC the step sets. An address that is already a To or CC recipient is not added twice |
| Default BCC | Added to every email, hidden from the other recipients, on top of the step's BCC. An address that is already in To, CC or BCC is not added twice |
| Default Reply-To | Used only when the step sets no Reply-To. A Reply-To typed into the step always wins |
| Default From name | Used only when the step sets no From name. The sender address itself never changes, so SPF and DKIM are not affected |
| Test email recipients | Not used in live sends. The first address is prefilled as the recipient in the Send test email dialog of a layout, so you stop retyping your own address. Without it, the dialog offers your store's email |
Addresses are compared case-insensitively, so Team@example.com and team@example.com count as the same recipient. The step-level fields are described in Reply-To and From name.
Marketing emails
Every layout whose Email type is Marketing ends with a footer: an Unsubscribe sentence with the unsubscribe link, the Unsubscribe link text, and your Company details (business name and postal address). Set the texts here once, add a language for each language you send in, and check the result in the Preview at the bottom of the tab. Fields you leave empty fall back to the app's default wording; a translation with an empty field uses your main texts. The unsubscribe sentence must contain {{ unsubscribe_link }} or {{ unsubscribe_url }}, so every marketing email has a way out. Transactional layouts never get this footer. Everything about marketing layouts, unsubscribes and per-layout overrides of these texts is in Marketing emails and unsubscribes.
Brand and fonts
Custom fonts
Upload a Heading font and a Body font for your email layouts. Accepted files are .woff2, .woff, .ttf and .otf; use .woff2 for the best support in mail clients. After the upload, give the font the Font Name that should appear in the font dropdown of the visual builder (the file name is suggested). Change font file swaps the file, Remove heading font / Remove body font takes it out of the dropdown again; both take effect when you save. Uploaded fonts count against your plan's storage like other uploads.
Brand colors
Name the colors of your brand once, up to 12. Each row has a Name (up to 40 characters, for example Primary) and a Color, picked with the color field or typed as a hex value like #1a73e8. Once saved, every color picker in the visual builder, on a layout and on its translations, and on the header and footer preset pages offers them as one-click chips under the field. The chip of the color currently in the field is highlighted, so you can see at a glance whether a block is still on brand. Without brand colors the pickers look as before.
Brand colors are a palette, not a theme: adding or changing one does not recolor existing layouts. Pick the chip in each field you want to change.
Notifications
The same alert settings as the bell icon on the dashboard, editable in place: which alerts you get, their thresholds, and who receives them (your shop owner email and up to two confirmed extra recipients). The switches and thresholds save with Save alerts; adding, confirming or removing a recipient applies immediately. What each alert means and when it fires is in Notifications and alerts.
