Plans and usage

Every plan includes all features - both Flow actions, the visual email builder, OAuth and SMTP senders, secrets, header and footer presets, and full history. Plans differ only in how many actions you can run and how much attachment storage you get.

Annual billing is available on every paid plan and costs less than paying monthly. You can change plan at any time from Help → Change plan, or from the Current plan card on the dashboard.

What counts as an action

One action is:

one email sent by the Send Transactional Email action, or
one HTTP request executed by the HTTP Request action.

Sending to several recipients in one Flow step counts once.

The following do not count:

Send test email from Email Senders or a layout editor
The Test button on an HTTP request
Any action that failed before running - a misconfiguration, a validation error, or a duplicate retry. The quota slot is given back.

The rolling 30-day window

The quota is a rolling 30-day window, not a calendar month. At any moment, the app counts the actions you ran in the previous 30 days. There is no monthly reset date - as older actions age past 30 days, that capacity comes back.

The dashboard card is labelled Plan limit (30 days) and shows how many you have used.

What happens at the limit

Once you reach the limit, further Flow actions are rejected with:

Plan limit reached (N/LIMIT actions in the last 30 days). Upgrade your plan to continue using Flow actions.

Shopify Flow reports the step as failed. Nothing is queued for later, so those emails and requests do not eventually go out - you need to either upgrade or wait for capacity to roll off.

[!TIP] Turn on the quota notifications so this never surprises you. By default you get an email at 80% and again at 100%. See Notifications and alerts.

The dashboard date range offers Today, Yesterday, Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Last 90 days, Last 365 days and a custom range. It defaults to the last 7 days, and buckets everything in your store's timezone.

Attachment storage

Uploaded images and attachments count against the storage allowance for your plan. When it fills up, uploads are refused until you delete files or upgrade. Auto-generated template thumbnails are excluded. See Attachments and images.
